Fitment

• This front brake kit uses black four-piston DPHA calipers and drilled/slotted 262 mm (10.32-inch) rotors. The parts list includes the front calipers, left/right rotors, BP-10 axle pad set and listed hardware.
• Requires the original 262 mm rotor/spindle configuration. Vehicles originally equipped with 240 mm rotors and spindles are excluded, even if their rotors have been upgraded.
• Wilwood specifies at least 15-inch wheels, but wheel diameter alone does not establish clearance. Check the manufacturer's drawing against the actual wheel.
• Have an experienced brake installer verify the application, wheel clearance, hoses and fittings before installation. Review the complete parts list and installation instructions.

Description

Wilwood 140-12996-D upgrades compatible Honda/Acura front brakes with black four-piston DPHA calipers and 10.32-inch drilled/slotted rotors while retaining the factory master cylinder and ABS function.

Application and compatibility

Requires compatible original-equipment spindles designed for 262 mm front rotors. Spindles from 240 mm rotor applications are incompatible even after a rotor change. The kit accepts compatible OE hoses and retains the factory master cylinder and ABS function. Some 15-inch wheels fit; DS-967 requires at least 0.080 inch between the wheel and caliper throughout.

• Supporting modifications required:
  • Retain compatible OE hoses or purchase suitable replacement hoses; hoses are not in the DS-967 parts list.
  • Brake fluid and red Loctite 271 are installation supplies.
• Match hub lug pattern and wheel clearance before disassembly. Connect OE hose using the supplied banjo hardware and new crush washers; follow DS-967 torque limits. Bleed, check leaks/interference and complete the manual’s minimum brake-test procedure before use.
