Install & Results
At a glance
- Supporting modifications required:
- Transfer the factory MAF sensor and install the supplied MAF insert as shown in the manual.
- Inspect the filter and all connections regularly. Clean and re-oil the cotton element with the K&N service products specified for this filter; dusty conditions can require earlier service. Follow the part-specific instructions, including sensor, hose and factory-hardware transfer steps. Recheck clearances and fasteners after installation. Use the supplied glue to seat the MAF insert fully in the intake tube. The threaded vent fitting uses tapered NPT threads; follow the manual’s tightening instruction rather than forcing it flush. Power and torque figures are K&N estimates from its test vehicle; results vary with the vehicle and configuration.
